To ensure we deliver consistently high standards and quality translations to all our clients, all work assigned has to meet the following criteria:
1. Translators working with Connect - Quality Assurance Charter
All interpreters and translators wishing to work with connect are checked according to our Quality Assurance Charter. This sets a minimum quality standard for all translators and interpreters wishing to work with CONNECT.

2. Accreditation and Qualifications
Be professionally accredited by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) at a minimum.
Other qualifications are also taken into consideration such as language related training or education.
3. Ethics
Adhere to the Australian Institute of Interpreters and Translators (AUSIT) Code of Ethics.
This ensures all work complete is kept 100% confidential by both the CONNECT translator and project manager.
4. Experience
Have significant experience in translating and interpreting in the assignment’s subject matter.
For more specialised and technical assignments, the translator must also have relevant work experience in the subject matter.
5. Mother Tongue
The language other than English that the linguist is qualified in must be their native language.
6. 100% Australian
All our work is 100% Australian - complete by Australian Translators and Interpreters, proudly keeping all our work in Australia and wholly Australian owned.
This also means translators have knowledge of local culture and vocabulary.

NAATI - The National Accreditation Authority for Translators & Interpreters
NAATI is a national standards body owned by the Commonwealth, State and Territory Governments of Australia. It is a company limited by guarantee under the Commonwealth Corporations Law 2001.
NAATI is also an advisory body for the Translation and Interpreting (T & I) industry in Australia providing advice and consultancy services on T & I standards, accreditation, role and conduct of Translators and Interpreters and T & I skills in various settings.
NAATI accreditation is the only credential officially accepted for the profession of translation and interpreting in Australia .
Connect Language Services requires that all translators and interpreters to be NAATI accredited whenever possible*.
*Some new and emerging languages are yet to have formal testing. For all tested and accredited languages, Connect requires translators & interpreters to have NAATI accreditation.
